Welcome to My Blog!
Hello everyone! This will be my first post! Im super excited to go on a journey with you guys!
I made this blog based on my love for Korean culture and the entertainment! So begins able to watch dramas and talk about them afterwards is what I do already with my friends, but now I wanna do it with the world! So I hope you guys will join me on this new marked adventure!
So a little bit about me I am a 22 years old Black woman currently in college for Physical Therapy and Sports Med. I currently reside in the USA and of course I am an avid Kpop fan! I have been into Kpop for almost 10+ years. I am proud to say that I remember DBSK lol that might be a little old for some of you but if you know what I am talking about ;)
I have always been interested in the Asian culture since I could remember. I loved, loved, loved reading manga. I still remember my first one, Prince of tennis. I hold that particular one dear to my heart. The same goes for anime, my very first one going up of course was Pokemon but then I found about the anime's that came on after 2am and I would stay up every night in elementary school waiting for Inuyasha to come on in order for me to sleep. I still remember one night, my older sister and I shared a room. I was so determined to watch Inuyasha that night that I placed a thick blanket over the TV and myself just to the light wouldn't bother her, then I made sure to keep the volume low. This memory gets me every time I think about it lol. One of my favorites might I add.
Once I entered middle school, I started to change I wanted to be apart of the " Cool Kids" since that was a thing when I was young. I was trying my hardest to get those kids to like and they just bullied me something that I allowed to happen since I knew that would keep me close to them. I let them call me names and say many things about me. Thats when I found Kpop. Around the time Kerri Hilson's song " Pretty Girl Rock" came out was when I was introduced too Kpop. If you have never heard the song here listen to it now. Its about having confidence in yourself regardless of what many anything you are that bitch!
I know what you're thinking, what does the song have to do with this? Well one day while I was looking for the video of the song. I clicked on something completely different! It was the song by Kerri Hilson however the video was of nine really pretty asian women dancing in colorful skinny jeans and it made me wonder... Who are they! I was sooo curious over this group of women and why they were dancing in sync. I searched for so long " Asian girls dancing" " Pretty again woman in skinny jeans." So many tittles came to my head when I was looking for the group of girls and I can't remember which one worked, all I know is that I was listing to Girl's Generation Gee, and from there the rest is HERstory lol.
Now I have been in the beautiful dark hole of the K-world and I refuse to get out lol. Ever since then I just have been finding more ways to learn more about the country and their history ya know. I became really curious over the place and it made me want to know more. While learning about the country and their rich history I got pulled into the world of Dramas! AND BOII WAS THAT A MISTAKE!! I now will not watch anything that isn't a drama lol My very first one you ask, the iconic Boys over Flowers !!!! I live for Lee Minho but after a while and very many dramas later, his throne on my heart was debunked by so many other actors that I now have a list of actor husbands lol As I sure you do as well.
ALL of that now brings me here! To this blog! I've seen so many dramas now and I realize that it maybe really helpful for someone who is looking for something new to watch. Even tho I don't have a large following I hope this Blog will help you choose your next drama!
